Oh my god, I have been listening to the Manchester Orchestra album and it is amazing! I am so so in love with this band. I saw them at the Camden Barfly and Reading Festival and the live show is even better than the album. They are all about 19 years olds with beards. I know this sounds like an advert for us but seriously the album is amazing, get it any way you can. Have a listen to Where Have You Been? on http://www.myspace.com/manchesterorchestra
Also here is a live version of the track, the sound is a bit ropey but you get the idea.
Next stop into alternative rock will take in The Get Up Kids me thinks!!
Big love
So last weekend was The Reading Festival and it was awesome! I saw loads of bands, the weather was fantastic and I got seriously drunk! The highlight of the festival were Brand New, they are by far the most amazing band I have seen for ages. I just bought the first two albums today, I am so excited by them. The best bands were Silversun Pickups, Manchester Orchestra, !!! and Brand New.
I am so pleased that I got to go to a festival that had nice weather and great bands! Here is a video from Brand New for their single 'Jesus Christ' incredible!
So tomorrow I head off to Devon for my second surfing trip and I can't wait. I have attached a good bit of surfing action from YouTube in Devon. I wish I was this good.
Recently I have been doing some promo with Candie Payne for Loose Ends which was pretty cool. I have also heard the album from Coheed and Cambria and it is awesome. I have never got them before but now I finally realise! The album comes out in October and they will be touring as well.
So recently I have been mostly listening to Silversun Pickups, The National and the awesome new album from Crowded House. I got a copy of the new Against Me album the other day and it rocks like a mother.
Other causes of inspiration have been surfing and a genuine obsession with the Vans label. I have been spending far too much money.
I have been lucky enough to do some promo with Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters recently when I took him into Chris Moyles. It was an awesome experience even though I had to get up at 5am to be there on time. I've also been working with Kings of Leon and Avril Lavigne again.
Here is a video of some awesome surfing action in the Amazon, one day I will be that good. Wakeboarding here I come!
This week I have been mostly doing promo with a selection of Columbia bands including Manic Street Preachers, Candie Payne, Mumm-ra, Groove Armada and Ripchord!
It has been a busy week and it was absolutley amazing to see Manic Street Preachers at Maida Vale doing a session for Colin Murray. At one point Colin he watched them doing the session he walked into the stuidio and asked them to play 'Motown Junk'. The band did it immediately and absolutley nailed it. It was truly special
Candie Payne has been hosting some shows on 6Music recently and has done a brilliant job of it as well. From a slightly nervous start she progressed over 4 hours to being a natural, loved it!
I will hopefully be doing promo with Ozzy Osbourne in the next couple of weeks. What a legend!
Here is the new video for the Mumm-ra single 'Whe's Got You High' which is released on 14th May, enjoy

I have been a milencky bit busy at the moment so I haven't had a chance to post anything. I am still missing the slopes but consoling myself with the brand new albums from Velvet Revolver and Bright Eyes. I have a conffession to make, I love the new Fallout Boy album. Someone said that I thought I was cool because I like the Fallout Boy album. I replied by saying I am cool despite I like the Fallout Boy album. I felt superior.
The video that is currently floating my boat is the new one from Modest Mouse. It is an amazing record and the video cost a fortune!!

So I am back! Just been to The 3 Valleys in the Alps and it was awesome. We boarded all 3 valleys in 3 days! The conditions were good, a little bit slushy, and the weather was incredible! It was actually really hot!
Already missing the snow and I can't wait until next year! Surfing is my next thing to learn.

Dragon Force! Honestly one of the best live bands I have ever seen. They had everything wind machines, metal platforms, keyboard solos, girls in their underwear on trampolines. amazing!
In only a few weeks I will be on the slopes at Meribel, in the meantime I am going to Lucky Voice on Friday night. I do an incredible version of Metallica 'Enter Sandman' and I am going to try Journey 'Don't Stop Believin''. Here is a picture I took of my legs on top of the highest point in Italy. I'm not really that tall.
I have spent the last few days with Avril Lavigne and to be honest I was dreading it. She really surprised me and she was lvoely. She had loads of fun doing a session for JK & Joel at Maida Vale, you can see all the pictures online at www.bbc.co.uk/radio1. She looks great, not sure about the back singers!!!!
She also did gig for competition winners at The Scala last night which went down really well. There were even dance routines going on.
Quite oppositely I was supposed to be going to see Deftones tonight at Brixton but they cancelled because of illness. Gotta love sports metal!
